Jia Wolfe Director, Chemistry
Education B.S., University of Science and Technology of China, Ph.D., SUNY Stony Brook
Interests Organic chemistry, chemical Biology, and drug discovery
After obtaining my Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, I worked with Professor Gregory Verdine at the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Harvard University. My interests in both drug discovery and novel technology development were enhanced through my work in the biotech industry. I enjoy the creative and interdisciplinary environment here, and spending time with my husband Scot and sons Nathan and Tyler. |

Julian Banerji, Visiting Scientist
Education B.S., Cornell University, M.S., SUNY Stonybrook, Ph.D., U. of Zurich Inst. for Molekular Biologie II
Interests Understanding life and remaining creative
I had a stroke fifteen years ago, which compromised my brain function. I am trying stay connected to science while discovering what limits are imposed on my cognition and physical abilities. I am currently fascinated by asparagine, as it may be a focal point of mammalian growth control. I am a member of the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission. Franz Kafka is my screensaver. |

Glen Cho Research Team Leader II
Education B.S., University of California at San Diego; Ph.D. Harvard University
Interests Biochemistry, technology development, drug discovery
My Ph.D. from Jack Szostak’s laboratory concentrated on improvement and implementation of mRNA display technology. At CCIB I work with a team to develop new display technologies to aid further our drug discovery program. Technology development is particularly interesting to me because I feel that approaching complex problems with new methods is at the forefront of scientific advancement. The diversity of specialities in the CCIB allows for unique approaches to exciting scientific problems. |

Guo Ling Zhou Research Team Leader
Education BSc and MS, Huazhong Agricultural University, China; Ph D, Chinese Academy of Medical Science and Peking Union Medical College, China.
Interests Regulation network of eukaryotic gene expression, immunology, mouse model for diseases
I obtained my Ph.D. studying the regulation of globin gene clusters and the memory mechanism of epigenetic information during cell division after I completed my B.Sc. and M.S., majoring in crop genetics and breeding. I joined the Seed lab in October 2005 because I am interested in chromosomal engineering and developing new approaches for creating mouse models used in the study of immunology. |
